Family Friendly Cape Canaveral Vacation Rental ~ Florida

If you are looking for a Cape Canaveral vacation rental that is family friendly… stop! I have found what you’ve been searching for! During previous trips to Florida, our family has always vacationed on the Gulf side. However, this time we wanted to change it up and see what the ocean side had to offer.

After coming across some local attractions like airboat tours, bioluminescent kayak tours, the Kennedy Space Center, and the Brevard Zoo, we knew we had to visit Florida’s Space Coast.

Cape Canaveral Bungalow

During my search for a vacation rental in Cape Canaveral I was so happy when I came across this adorable coastal bungalow on Airbnb. Everything, and I mean everything, was recently remodeled and it just oozed “Florida beach.”

The beachy blue exterior instantly cheers you up upon arrival. There is ample parking and beautiful lush landscaping. One of the best things about this rental is it’s only a three block walk to the beach!

Don’t feel like walking? That’s ok! Hop in the car and drive down to the beach access. There are a handful of parking spaces available if you wanted to drive. The beach itself was flat, clean, and great for walking.

Welcome Home!

I know you are probably thinking, judging by the outside, this place is gonna be tiny. Well… you’d be wrong! It’s over 1,200 square feet and was a great fit for our family.

Bright and open living room.

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by an open floor plan that joins the living room and kitchen. The large windows allow ample light to fill each of these two rooms. There are two smart t.v.’s in the home, with one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Both t.v.’s offer free HULU live streaming, which came in handy on a cool rainy day we had during our stay.

Large, well stocked kitchen

Since I cook all of our meals on vacation due to allergies, the kitchen is very important to me when booking a vacation rental. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, pots and pans, and anything else you might need during your stay. Everything in the home was very clean!

Kitchen Table

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a bowl full of snacks and a fridge filled with cold bottled water. After driving from Michigan to Florida, with a stop in Georgia, it was reassuring to know that we had arrived at a well taken care of, and well thought out, rental.

Down the hallway is a spacious full bath with a tile shower. There were plenty of towels and even my favorite one… a black washcloth for removing makeup! Am I right, ladies?!

Each bathroom in the home had a dispenser in the shower for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. This is great to have just in case you might have forgotten to pack one of these items.

A Time For Rest

There are three bedrooms in this Cape Canaveral vacation rental: a master bedroom, a second bedroom with a king size memory foam bed, and the third bedroom with twin over full bunk bed.

The master suite was spacious with a king size memory foam bed, attached bathroom, a t.v., and a slider to the pool area. The nightstands had lamps that had multiple cords for all of your recharging needs. My husband thought this was very convenient especially if you forgot to bring your charger.

Even though the master bath is on the smaller side, it was a great use of space. The finishes were beautiful, there were plenty of towels, and even a blow dryer, too.

In the hallway is a linen closet that is filled with additional bathroom towels, pool towels, paper products, and cleaning supplies. For me personally, even though I am on vacation I still like to keep the place clean just like I would at home. It drives me crazy when we stay at a place and there isn’t a broom or vacuum in the whole house.

This rental also has on-site laundry. Usually the day before we leave, I spend some time washing our dirty clothes. That way when we get home, there isn’t mounds of laundry waiting for me. Because let’s be honest, the last thing you want to be doing after vacation, is laundry!

The Great Outdoors

If you have ever booked a vacation in a warmer climate, you know that the pool matters! Thankfully, this home has a large pool! There is plenty of deck area to soak up some of that much needed vitamin D. The pool is not heated so it was a little on the chilly side when we arrived in mid-February. But that didn’t stop my children from playing in it.

The owners recently finished a smaller apartment that is attached to this rental. That means that the pool would be shared if both places are booked at the same time. After talking with my husband, we thought this would be a great set-up if you were vacationing with friends or extended family.

Since the beach is just down the street, the owners provide a wagon full of beach necessities for your use. It includes a cooler with wheels, beach chairs, wake boards, and tons of sandcastle building equipment.

Our Experience

As a family of five, this rental checked all of our boxes. It met all of our needs and had a great layout for our family. The location was easy to get to, and close to everything, including grocery stores and restaurants. If you haven’t visited the Florida Space Coast before, you need to book a trip. PERHAPS this rental will also be a great fit for you and your family.
