EVOS “Feel Great Food” – South Tampa
Are you looking for that All American meal? You know the one I’m talking about…
a juicy hamburger, crispy fries, and an ice cold milkshake.
BUT you don’t want to feel terrible after you eat it? Then you need to check out EVOS restaurant in Florida. They currently have locations in and around both Tampa and Miami.

Who is EVOS?
It all started back in 1994 when three friends, Dino Lambridis, Alkis Crassas, and Michael Jeffers, were trying to find someplace to eat. Together they were looking for a place to get a burger, fries and a shake – but were tired of the side order of guilt that came after eating other fast food.
After endless driving and searches that were coming up empty, they decided to open their own restaurant and call it EVOS. Derived from the word ‘evolve’, you can think of it as fast food evolved.
EVOS is not a health food or vegetarian restaurant. They just appreciate traditional American favorites, and use respectable ingredients in a respectable atmosphere. After dining at their South Tampa location, we were blown away by both their food and what they stand for.
What Is… Black and White
When dining at EVOS, you can rest assured that there is no “gray area” when it comes to their food. It is simple, natural, and delicious! They use only quality, organic and fair trade ingredients such as:
- Fair Trade Certified & Organic Teas
- Organically grown, pesticide free field greens
- Organic hamburger and hotdog buns
- Humanely raised beef and chicken
- Milkshakes made with organic milk and sugar
- and fruitshakes made with real fruit and real fruit juices
Let’s Eat!
EVOS menu offers tons of options that you would be hard pressed not to find something that checked all the boxes for you. It is packed with options like Steakburgers, Nutri Bowls, gourmet wraps, hand tossed salads, milkshakes, fruitshakes, guilt-free snacks, and a kids menu with something even for the pickiest kid.

Between the five of us, we dined on their original steakburger, a bacon chicken ceasar gourmet wrap, airbaked chicken strips, grilled beef hotdog, Airfries, milkshakes, and fruitshakes. Everything was so good that it left us all wanting more!

Not a meat person? They also offer vegetarian options for their burgers, wraps, and Nutri Bowls (such as a salmon, veggie, soy, and black bean), as well as vegan and gluten free options.

Every Monday is also Meatless Monday, where you can get ‘Buy One Get One Free’ on any of their meatless meals or items. Skipping meat one day a week is great for both you, and the earth.
Consider This A Warning!
What I’m about to mention may make you lose all self control. Elastic waist pants are highly recommended.
Airfries.
*Wiping drool from my mouth.
These are not just any Airfries, they are available in either classic potato or sweet potato versions which are both amazing, crispy, salty, AND has half the fat of regular fries. It’s hard to stop eating them so if you decide to order only Airfries, I’m not judging. The thought crossed my mind, too.
You won’t find any deep friers here! Each of their fried items are Airbaked instead, which results in a healthier option for you and one that is also good for the earth. EVOS restaurants alone saves over 10,200 gallons of oil from being disposed into the environment. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me!

Let me introduce you to the The EVOS Original Ketchup Karma (TM) bar. Just when you think it couldn’t possibly get any better, it can!
That’s right! At the Ketchup Karma Bar you get your choice of several house-made, organic, and naturally flavored ketchups. With flavors such as Garlic Gravity, Spicy Cayenne Fire Walker, Smoky Mesquite Magic, and Original Americana, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
What’s New?
The newest item on the menu is their NutriBowls. Made with the most nutrient dense natural and organic ingredients it is also served in an earth-friendly container. Get your choice of the Asian Chili Mahi (pictured below), Green Mesa Chicken, Moroccan Veggie with Lentil, and Mediterranean Chicken Lemonati.

Wanna change it up? Change up your protein! Pick your choice of Chicken, Steakburger, Veggie, Mahi, Blackbean, and Soy to customize the dish to fit your desires.
EVOS, is not just committed to great food, but also committed to being a green company. You can find all this food goodness packed under a roof that has been made with sustainable building materials and is running in part on renewable energy sources.
GREEN All Over
EVOS is dedicated to using sustainable business practices throughout their restaurants. They are proud to be an Earth Charter Award winner and industry leader in green business practices.
How many restaurants do you know that use sustainable materials in their packaging, like fully compostable plastic take-out bags? Or use gift cards that are made with recycled credit cards?
Each location is built with environmentally friendly recycled wood panels made of pressed sorghum plant stalks, eco-friendly adhesives, zero VOC paints, and eco-friendly flooring and building materials.

The tabletops are made from 70% FSC certified wood and 20% recycled content from post consumer waste, and the wallpaper is made with 100% PVC free material with 10% recycled content from post consumer waste. Both are FSC and Greenguard Certified for low chemical emissions.
EVOS is also committed to using clean, renewable energy. They offset 50% of their stores’ energy usage with renewable wind energy. That’s the environmental equivalent of planting 52 acres of trees every year!
Know Before You Go
EVOS currently offers three locations in the Tampa Bay area: South Tampa (which we dined at), Carrollwood, and St. Petersburg, and a location south of Miami in Pinecrest.
There is also catering, delivery, and pick-up options to make it easier for you to enjoy their food. They offer Meatless Mondays (Buy One Get One Free meatless meals) and Kids Eat Free Sundays (with the purchase of an adult meal. Dine In only.)
EVOS’ slogan is “Feel Great Food” and I can tell you, that’s exactly what it is! It is a great family friendly restaurant that cares about the food they serve AND the planet. We need to support restaurants like this so they know that we love what they are doing!
