I’ve searched the island high and low, and to my knowledge, Your Bliss Cafe serves the only 100% organic shave ice in Maui, made using real organic fruits, organic cane sugar and fluffy alkaline ice. No yucky food dyes and high fructose corn syrup here!
I’m so excited to share with you a peak inside Your Bliss Cafe and why we feel they serve the best organic shave ice that Maui has to offer.
Organic Shave Ice, Maui Style!
When visiting Hawaii, your vacation won’t be complete without trying a local favorite, Shave Ice. This refreshing dessert is made from bits of ice shavings drizzled with fruit syrup. It is just as magnificent as it sounds!
Don’t just settle for any shave ice though.
Although shave ice is very common in Hawaii, Your Bliss Cafe has definitely gone above and beyond with their frozen treats.
Welcome to Your Bliss Cafe.
The majority of shave-ice stands serve “ready-to-use” syrups, which are full of high fructose corn syrup and artificial food dyes. Your Bliss Cafe, however, handmakes their own syrups using fresh organic fruits, and organic cane sugar. YUM!
Fresh syrup options can be found on the wall menu, and deciding which four to choose is difficult. I really enjoyed Blueberry Blast and Passionfruit Paradise and suggest visiting a few times to try all of the flavors!

Once you’ve decided which syrup flavors you’d like to enjoy, you’ll then need to choose which flavor of handmade, tropical sorbet you’d like nestled in the center of your shave ice treat.

Your shave ice creation is then made starting with a large scoop of organic sorbet that is covered with fluffy alkaline ice and drizzled with four incredible, organic fruit syrups. The portion size is very generous.

I cannot tell you how refreshing this shave ice truly is after a day in the gorgeous Hawaiian sun. You can certainly taste how fresh the ingredients are. The sorbet in the center doesn’t get mushy, and stays frozen underneath the alkaline ice. Don’t eat too fast though, cold headaches are a real thing!
While we enjoyed our shave ice, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner of Your Bliss Cafe. Both times we visited, he was the first smiling face that greeted us AND he even made our frozen treats. I know, right?! We love seeing owners who are so passionate and involved with their businesses. You can certainly feel the aloha spirit here.

- Menu: Currently, their menu is not listed online. Items and prices are obviously subject to change and may differ from the menu photos above, from my experience. I reached out on Instagram with menu questions before my visit, and they were very prompt and thorough with responding.
