If you are planning a trip to Mackinac Island this winter, make sure you check the hours and schedules for the ferry companies before making travel arrangements as they can vary with ice and weather. This year Arnold Transit will be operating their winter schedule from November 1, 2025 – April 20, 2026 unless the water freezes over. The ferry departs from the St. Ignace Classic Dock located at 99 N. State St., right next to Ace Hardware. Fresh Air Aviation also offers transportation to and from the island by reservation only.
